One thing I love about travel is being able to visit friends all over the world. Every time I jump on a plane I start to brainstorm if I know anyone in the country I’m about to land in. The more I travel, the more my network of friends grows and the more people I get to visit. Having friends in different parts of the world is often a sure guarantee that you’ll have own personal travel guide.

I love being able to get an insight into the life of my friends which is often extremely different from the one I choose to live. This time in England, I was able to see my great mates which whom I worked with whilst living in Sydney in 2016. Adam and Rob lived in Australia for a year, and during their time in Australia, we spent countless days together exploring Sydney’s coastal hotspots, training and finding the most delectable cafes.
Halfway around the world, we did things just the same. We went out for runs along the canals and through the pretty suburbs of North London, we went to cafes and we kicked back. Overall, it was a very relaxed week in England but I know it’s going to ramp again in Sri Lanka.
I’m heading to Sri Lanka to work with the Sri Lankan Tourism Board, to photography and promote the country. Sri Lanka has long been on my list of places I’ve wanted to travel so I’m extremely stoked about this opportunity. Along with the opportunity of travelling to Sri Lanka, a few of my good friends Jorden, Martin and Ave will also be on the trip that I haven’t seen for a long time. It will be exciting to talk story, adventure and create content for Sri Lanka alongside some of my great friends plus meeting another 6 new creative minds.
This week, I took a few photos of my friend Adam riding through the countryside just to practice shooting something a little different. Here’s what I took.
Next week comes to you from Sri Lanka!
Stay tuned and big love,
JL
